Ciaran Barry (He/Him)

Provisional Psychologist

Ciaran is a Provisional Psychologist who completed a master of counselling at the end of 2021. He has worked at Reframe Psychology for over 2 years now. He has several hundred hours worth of client experience as a counsellor at the UQ Student Services (Counselling) Unit. He has experience working with teenagers and young adults who are experiencing a wide variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, LGBTIQ+ identities, gender dysphoria, drug and alcohol concerns, ADHD, executive dysfunction, school refusal, family issues and domestic violence. He is friendly, compassionate and understanding with a great passion for working with people facing life’s adversities.

Ciaran is registered as a provisional psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Registration Board (AHPRA). He is now working towards becoming a registered psychologist and is supported by experienced supervisors.

Ciaran works with private-fee paying clients at a reduced rate of $150/session. Because he is provisionally registered he is not currently eligible for a Medicare Provider Number. Therefore, Ciaran does not require a MHCP/referral to see clients, and sessions are not eligible for Medicare rebate.

NDIS services are eligible for funding under the Individual Counsellor fee.
